Sophie is a writer, former dancer with New York City Ballet, and longtime advocate for social justice.

In early 2022 Sophie was introduced to the inner workings of New York City’s Diamond District. When Roe v Wade was overturned she realized that she could help spread the word about self managed abortion by creating jewelry inspired by the abortion pills. She’d finally found a way to combine her various skills to create something entirely new that had the potential to spark societal change.

Each piece begins with Sophie composing a pencil and watercolor drawing in her lower Manhattan studio, a short walk from the Diamond District where she works closely with her bench jeweler.
